Existing TPMS 1.0 products simply alert the driver to a tire problem. TPMS 2.0 also does that but goes far beyond this basic functionality. TPMS 2.0 enables each fleet to monitor tire related information using measureable, actionable and manageable automated tire processes to improve tire maintenance, reduce tire-related costs and improve fleet safety. The following are the functional specifications of the TPMS 2.0 standard:
